Well, it seems I spoke too soon. Claudio Ranieri has opted to sign with Juventus instead of Manchester City. He has been quoted as saying he was looking forward to the challenge at ‘City, but the takeover was taking too long and he could not wait any longer. Ranieri was the favorite choice of potential investor Thaksin Shinawatra, but until the takeover was finalized Ranieri was kind of left in limbo.

I can’t say I really blame the guy. You can’t put your career on hold like that. It’s just frustrating, because it’s just more evidence that the soccer gawds really do hate Manchester City.
